Kroger Lake Bulkhead Project

Dear Homeowners,

The South Shore Harbour Municipal Utility District No. 7 previously determined that the lake behind the Kroger shopping center (known as Kroger Lake) has evident shoreline erosion. To help prevent the erosion, the MUD7 has approved a fiberglass bulkhead to be installed around the entire perimeter of the lake:

The project is currently in the early stages and the contractor has begun moving in their equipment and materials, with sheet piles being delivered next week. Over the next few weeks, the contractor will start driving the sheet piles beginning at the culverts under South Shore Boulevard.

We are asking residents to be patient with this project as it will last for at least three months- depending on primary factors that include the weather and material supplies. To make sure our homeowners are safe, we ask that you please stay clear of the worksite.

MUD7 is working to have the final plans posted on the MUD7 website soon which will include a brief description of the project. To get more information about the project, please visit
